Membership terms used in Aviva governance reports
Membership documentation has been issued and policy is accruing, or is ready to accrue benefits
Member has left employment but has retained benefits. These members are only relevant for a trust-based scheme
Total of active and deferred members (if relevant) together
This is a member who has become active or deferred during the reporting period. New members becoming deferred will have been made deferred from active
A rejoiner to active would be a member who was previously closed or deferred returning to an active status. A rejoiner to deferred would be a member who was previously closed and returned to this status
Member has transferred their funds to another provider
Member has moved out of the current pension arrangement into a different arrangement
Notification of a member's request to retire has been received and full disinvestment of their assets is either underway or completed
Notification of a member's death has been received and full disinvestment of their assets is either underway or has been completed.
